Rules
Eleven rules, so this stays a good place.
Every lesson and reply is checked before it shows. If something of yours is declined or removed, the notice names the rule, and you can edit and send it again.
Share a lesson from life
A lesson is something experience taught you, in your own words. Ads, news, jokes, and other people’s quotes passed off as yours belong elsewhere.
Be kind to people
Disagree with ideas, never attack the person. No insults, bullying, or piling on anyone.
No hate
Nothing that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or similar.
No threats or violence
Don’t threaten, celebrate or encourage harm to anyone.
Nothing sexual
No sexual or nude content, sexual services, or links to them.
Protect children
Anything that sexualises someone under 18 is removed at once and closes the account.
No spam
No advertising, self-promotion, link dropping, engagement bait, or the same post again and again.
No scams
No money schemes, guaranteed returns, requests for money, phishing, or fake giveaways.
Keep private things private
Don’t share anyone’s phone number, address, email, or details that identify a private person.
Nothing dangerous or illegal
Don’t encourage or sell illegal drugs or weapons, or explain how to seriously hurt someone.
Be yourself
Don’t pretend to be Six Eight staff, a public figure, or another member.
If someone is in danger
Writing about a hard time is welcome. If a lesson or reply suggests someone may be at risk, it is held for a person to read, and the writer is shown where to find help right away. That isn’t a rule being broken.
Strikes: breaking a rule can earn a strike. Three strikes pause posting for a while; serious harm closes the account. You can appeal any decision through Help.
